The one thing that will keep you stuck

I recently embarked on a journey to tone my body in 90 days. Challenging myself to an at-home fitness regimen is something I haven’t done since my days of Beachbody's Insanity back in ’13.

Now on week three, I am once again learning how to build endurance and stamina. More importantly, however, the program is teaching me how to be and stay consistent if I want to achieve my goal of having a toned bod.

Maintaining consistency in various areas of my life is definitely something I have struggled with these past few months. The beautiful summer SoCal days coupled with my own internal people-pleasing and avoider saboteurs have fared well in keeping me inside my comfort zone.

Can you relate? Have you ever really thought about the ways in which consistency has played a role in where you are in life today?

No matter if they are external areas of your life (career, food, relationships, etc.) or how you think (beliefs, values, opinions, etc.), it took a great deal of consistency through habitual action to get there.

I believe consistency truly is a skill and one that is vital when it comes to making long-lasting change. Showing up and doing the thing, even when you’re not feeling it, or doing it imperfectly, will always yield the greatest results vs. not showing up at all.

Does any of this resonate with you? Where in your life have you fallen off the consistency wagon?
