I got to meet my favorite food blogger, Lisa of Downshiftology at her debut meal-prep book signing last night! She was one of the first food bloggers I followed on social media and I was uber excited to meet her 😃.

Two things that drew me to Downshiftology were Lisa’s minimalist style (blog, fashion, home space, cooking) and simple, back-to-basics approach to nutrition.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the complexities of life that we sometimes forget about going back to basics when it comes to our health; doing a reset or starting from scratch. Healing your gut and feeling good can be as simple as:

1. Taking inventory of foods, activities and thoughts that deplete you of mental and physical energy

2. Removing them

3. Replacing them with foods, activities and thoughts that give you mental and physical energy
