Gut health, gut reset, leaky gut, microbiota or microbiome are terms that you may or may not be familiar with. I think now more than ever, many health professionals and wellness sites are spreading gut health awareness and its significance to our overall well-being.
The gut means so much more than diarrhea or bloating—it’s our second brain that’s in constant cahoots with our head brain. From totally wiping out bodily inflammation to alleviating (or altogether eliminating) symptoms of mental conditions, research and data continue to point to our gut microbiome as holding the answers to many of our health issues.
